The One That Didn't Get Away

You know when you finally do something you had dreamed of for years - and it didn't quite live up to expectations - well that was last Sunday for me. My first time deep sea game fishing on a charter boat with a bunch of mates - the fun was there, the sun was there, the water was there, the big boat was there, infact it was all there - except the big fishies!
I had dreamed for nights on end of pulling in big snapper, giant trevally, and monster mulloway, sure I was one of the lucky few to even catch a fish - and the largest of the day for that matter - still at best it was still rather lame.... Next year i'll so get them, those big ones are going to cop it!

WHY HOMEMADE ???

So why homemade?
(Firstly, I can't cook, my mother is the gifted one!)

It’s less to do with fewer preservatives, the home oven flavour or even the warmth of a new biscuit. It’s more to do with the sacrificed time, and a simplistic, loving view of life. If only more things were actually produced by those who consume them. If only more people were aware of the inputs, processes and consequences of the production stages. Homemade cookies (furniture, art, music etc…) helps with this awareness. It encourages a simple life, time spent serving others and offers something to share, grow and learn from – the perfect recipe for relational growth, not to mention modeling the Kingdom. This blog is a journey of life, hopefully sharing my developing Kingdom understandings and wrestling with its application…Get baking – and maybe I should learn.
